"'Love Me or Leave Me': Walking the Plank as a Homoerotic Symbol in South Caribbean Pirate Brotherhoods, 17671821."
This just really hit my funny bone.
Another thing that fascinates me and hits my funny bone is the wealth of literature found in... public restrooms! Some people actually take these down as notes, especially if they are striking. One website, called 'The Writing On The Stall', has been collecting the restroom writings.
Some of my favorites so far include one found on the ceiling of a high school bathroom (Your shit must feel real good if your looking up here.), and a pair on either side of a toilet stall. On the left was "*TOILET TENNIS* look right" and on the right was "look left".
Another shocker: "This toilet paper is like John Wayne. Tough as nails and dont take shit off nobody."
And one more: "Don't hate me because I'm beautiful, hate me because I did your dad--" With this scribbled under it in a different hand: "Go home, Mom, you're drunk!"
